The Eastern Caribbean islands are blessed with an abundance of natural beauty -- from the turquoise waters, white-sand beaches, lush rain forests and coral reefs teeming with marine life. Discover the fascinating histories, shopping and food of this idyllic region.

Ports of Call and Cruising Highlights

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

There is an abundance of things to see and do in the Ft. Lauderdale area: visit the newly redesigned Ft. Lauderdale Beach and cafes, stroll the historic Riverwalk, shop the luxurious stores on Las Olas Boulevard or adventure to the Everglades for an intriguing air boat excursion.

Princess Cay,  Bahamas

The tiny island of Eleuthera is home to a private beach party for Princess guests. Fun in the sun offerings for every family member from snorkeling, kayaking, and sailing to lingering over drinks and a delicious barbecue.  It’s beach includes a coral reef with tropical fish, an area dedicated to children's activities, water sports equipment, relaxing music, bar facilities, and lunch! Check out the seaboards, aqua bikes, Hobie Cat sailboats, Sunfish sailboats, paddle wheelers, Banana Boats or transparent hull kayaks. Climb the Crow's Nest Tower, and shop for handicrafts.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles

Philipsburg combines its historical legacy with 20th century excitement.  A dash of Paris and a splash of Holland and Caribbean essence make this little island a blend of pure paradise.  Shared by the French and Dutch for over 350 years, it’s like visiting two islands in one. St. Maarten features some of the best shopping buys in the Caribbean.  Sidewalk cafes, open air markets, and beautiful white sand beaches lined with coconut palms await you.

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands

The beautiful scenery alone would fulfill the dreams of most visitors – but there is much more.  This laid-back island paradise is also a shopping Shangri-La.  Once a haven for merchant, naval and pirate ships, the waterfront warehouses that were filled with pirate booty in the past have been converted into duty-free shops stocked with imported luxuries.  Glimmering bays, clear blue water, and powdery sand beaches surround St. Thomas.  The stunning Magen’s Bay is listed as one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world.

Grand Turk, Turk and Caicos Islands

Grand Turk is the capital of the Turks and Caicos Island. This small island is bursting with turn-of-the-century charm.  Founded by Bermudan Salt Rakers some three centuries ago, its Bermudan British colonial architecture amidst the colorful Caribbean style dwellings make Grand Turk worth a visit.  Blessed with miles of quiet sugary beaches, it is close to several uninhabited cays just waiting to be explored. Grand Turk excels in providing spectacular diving, snorkeling, fishing and sailing. The warm Atlantic waters are filled with an incredible array of marine life dolphins to the magnificent humpback whale.
